When we look at this photo you can't help but feel so incredibly grateful.

And fortunate.

Fortunate to have seen and been a part of an incredible era, an incredible career and an incredible community.

Grateful to see a man who was truly something special in and out of a racecar.

Grateful to see an entire family as the driving force behind a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a husband and a father.

Tonight is the Magic Man Speedcar spectacular at the Perth Motorplex and it honours a remarkable racer and person - the late Michael "Magic Man" Figliomeni.

His family and friends are emotional but so proud to have this race reinstated tonight.

Ian Watts Peter Jasiorowski - aka “Woski” and Pete Haynes and many people helped to restore the wonderful "Mr. Squiggle" FIGhter car that turned everyone's heads and everyone had an opinion on.

Last night Wade Aunger sat down with Frankie Fig, Stephen Fig, Leeroy Redmond, Ian Watts, Pete Haynes and Woski to talk about this wonderful car and some crazy stories of Figs' remarkable career.
